SAN is ABS without the EPDM particles. It is mainly used as transparent, but commonly opaque as well.
Why choose it?
- Inexpensive, yet a better impact, thermal and chemical resistance than PS (for a slightly higher price).
- A common choice in food contact applications

- Stress-cracking when subject to continuous load.
