TPE-A (COPA, PEBA)

TPE-A is thermoplastic polyamide. TPE-A and TPE-E are the highest performers in the TPE group.

Why choose it?

  • Mechanical properties are equal to or even better than those of TPE-E
  • Lower density
  • Is available transparent
  • Thermal stability over a wide service temperature area (from -50°C to +140°C)

Why not choose it?

  • TPE-A might not go low enough on the Shore A scale
  • High cost – choose only if you need the performance

Typical applications:

  • High-end sporting goods: Ski boots, football shoes
